A poem about space using personification and metaphors by Dionne.
To celebrate the end of our 'Researching Rio' learning we created acrostic poems. We worked hard to think of ideas that started with the correct letters. Ezekiel and Nishaye both thought of wonderful original ideas. We hope you enjoy reading their impressive poems!
Year 4 have been learning how to punctuate direct speech. Adanya correctly used inverted commas, started her sentences with capital letters and chose a variety of reporting clauses (including some with adverbs!). Great work!
Year 1 have been exploring non-fiction texts this week and have been learning all about castles. Using what she has learnt, Azra has created this fact file all about castles. She has included the features of a castle, labels and interesting facts. Azra enjoyed reading parts of her fact file to the class. Well done Azra!
Take a look at Ayesha's published piece. She used apostrophes for singular possession whilst writing about mythical Greek characters.
This week in Year 1 we have been reading 'Hector and the Big Bad Knight' and using drama to retell the story. Zianna wrote a super sentence using some adjectives to describe the forest setting.
This week Year 3 have been comparing our Modern Age to the Stone Age and looking at what the differences there are so we can write a letter to Ug explaining how much the world has changed! Abby wrote an excellent piece using capital letters and full stops where appropriate but also included some fantastic questions, adjectives and alliteration. She also wrote to Ug informally as if he were our friend!
This is by Phoebe who wrote a fantastic email as Katie who is the main character in our story Katie in London! Here she is describing her journey to Trafalgar Square.
