Monday 26th February is the start of World Book Week when we will be celebrating reading and all things books! There will be a whole school competition (details of how to enter and prizes to follow). We will also be visited by acclaimed children's author Nicholas Allan who will be holding a workshop with the Lower School. Excitingly, the children from Year 2 upwards will be visited by Bookman, a literary superhero who will be getting children involved in workshops on reading.
On World Book Day itself (Thursday 1st March) all children are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character. Finally, if you want to get the day off to a great start we're holding family reading breakfasts on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th February and also on Thursday 1st March. Everyone welcome from 8.30am to 8.45am - juice and snacks provided and plenty of stories. We suggest a £1 donation per family if you choose to come.
