We are taking part in Anti-Bullying week this term. Anti-bullying week helps Chesterton to shine a spotlight on bullying and encourages everyone to take action against bullying throughout the year.
The theme this year is ‘Choose Respect’. It is organised by the Anti-Bullying alliance and they have set out the following key aims for children, young people and all adults who work with children to understand:
- the definition of respect
- that bullying is a behaviour choice
- that we can respectfully disagree with each other i.e we don't have to be best friends or always agree with each other but we do have to respect each other
- that we all need to choose to respect each other both face to face and online
All week children will be taking part in special assemblies and having a focus on the theme during lesson. If you would like more information, please follow this link where you will find tips for parents and carers
